5) The only positives I can say is the convenience of having a kids club was helpful and the hours were good. Also, I will miss having Shoprite so close to run and grab stuff after working out.
4) A majority of the staff is untrained and have a hard time answering questions. With my insurance, I get a small credit if I prove I attended a fitness facility for a certain amount of days per year and the staff had the hardest time finding out how to print out my schedule. They also had a hard time finding out information about my account when I requested to cancel my membership. It is important to note that Golds Gym does not handle the finances - ABC Financial does so a lot of time you have to contact them for information. Not Golds Gym.
I love this gym. I had to visit my home country for a month. Very hesistantly I emailed the manager Susan to check if I can have a freeze for a month when I am not in the country. She readily agreed. I loved that consideration. Great way to shown your customer that you care.
2) The class schedule had no variety and the instructors were unimpressive. Not all but a lot of them were.

3) Holy cancellation fee!!!! I have NEVER heard of a 60-DAY CANCELLATION NOTICE...I wish I had read the reviews of this gym on Google. I think it is funny that Golds responded to the earlier review saying the same thing that they would look into this but 4 months later, nothing has changed. I think 30 days would be fair but to make me pay two additional months after I want to leave is beyond ridiculous. And I agree that you have to jump through hoops to cancel. It's really not the way you want to send your customers off.
Absolutely outrageous, i just found out that i'm apparently under a 18 MONTHS agreement which i had no idea of. When i spoke to Paula, i felt like she was attacking me over the phone. this is absolutely unacceptable, they gave me incorrect information during my sign up with the agreement being on the computer screen facing the sales person not me, and having me sign on a pad. Now they're saying the agreement is shown in bold and clearly says 18 months. i will be taking this matter to court, they better be ready to prove their little trick in court. DO NOT use this facility they are a bunch of hustlers. What a shame.
The gym is clean, I have yet to see one piece of equipment out of order. Nothing is broken. The staff is pleasant. I'd prefer to see a rower in this gym, but knew it wasn't equipped with one when I joined.
Love this place. I go back and forth between the Flanders and Hackettstown gyms. I have never had a problem with anything in either place.Staff is friendly and helpful. Equipment is kept in excellent shape. I enjoy going each day. Recently started going to Body Pump classes. Great class. Instructors keep us moving and motivated. Some days going to the gym is the best part of my day...
1) Equipment was not cared for properly. Machines especially treadmills were constantly "out of service" and there were rips on the pads. Specifically the L Seat which was ripped since I started there. Also, the spin bikes were never taken care of. A few were broken and never fixed. This was very disappointing considering with my membership I had to pay a maintenance fee on top of my monthly membership fee.
